1 Moreover David and the captains of the army separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
וַיַּבְדֵּ֣ל דָּוִיד֩ וְשָׂרֵ֨י הַצָּבָ֜א לַעֲבֹדָ֗ה לִבְנֵ֤י אָסָף֙ וְהֵימָ֣ן וִֽידוּת֔וּן בְּכִנֹּרֹ֥ות בִּנְבָלִ֖ים וּבִמְצִלְתָּ֑יִם וַֽיְהִי֙ מִסְפָּרָ֔ם אַנְשֵׁ֥י מְלָאכָ֖ה לַעֲבֹדָתָֽם׃

לִבְנֵ֣י אָסָ֗ף זַכּ֧וּר וְיֹוסֵ֛ף וּנְתַנְיָ֥ה וַאֲשַׂרְאֵ֖לָה בְּנֵ֣י אָסָ֑ף עַ֚ל יַד־אָסָ֔ף הַנִּבָּ֖א עַל־יְדֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

לִידוּת֑וּן בְּנֵ֣י יְדוּת֡וּן גְּדַלְיָ֡הוּ וּצְרִ֡י וִֽ֠ישַׁעְיָהוּ חֲשַׁבְיָ֨הוּ וּמַתִּתְיָ֜הוּ שִׁשָּׁ֗ה עַל֩ יְדֵ֨י אֲבִיהֶ֤ם יְדוּתוּן֙ בַּכִּנֹּ֔ור הַנִּבָּ֕א עַל־הֹדֹ֥ות וְהַלֵּ֖ל לַיהוָֽה׃

לְהֵימָ֑ן בְּנֵ֣י הֵימָ֡ן בֻּקִּיָּ֡הוּ מַתַּנְיָ֡הוּ עֻ֠זִּיאֵל שְׁבוּאֵ֨ל וִֽירִימֹ֜ות חֲנַנְיָ֣ה חֲנָ֗נִי אֱלִיאָ֤תָה גִדַּ֙לְתִּי֙ וְרֹמַ֣מְתִּי עֶ֔זֶר יָשְׁבְּקָ֣שָׁה מַלֹּ֔ותִי הֹותִ֖יר מַחֲזִיאֹֽות׃
| 4 τῷ Αἰμανὶ υἱοὶ Αἱμάν· Βουκιὰς καὶ Μανθανίας καὶ Ἀζαραὴλ καὶ Σουβαὴλ καὶ Ἰεριμὼθ καὶ Ἀνανίας καὶ Ἁνανὶ καὶ Ἠλιαθὰ καὶ Γοδολλαθὶ καὶ Ῥωμεμθι-ὼδ καὶ Ἰεσβακασὰ καὶ Μαλληθὶ καὶ Ὠθηρὶ καὶ Μεαζώθ· | 4 τῷ Αἰμὰν υἱοὶ Αἰνάν· Βουκίας καὶ Ματθανίας καὶ Ὀζιὴλ καὶ Σουβαὴλ καὶ Ἰεριμὼθ καὶ Ἀνανίας καὶ Ἀνὰν καὶ Ἑλιαθὰ καὶ Γοδολλαθὶ καὶ Ῥωμετθιέζερ καὶ Ἰεσβασακὰ καὶ Μαλλιθὶ καὶ Ὠθηρὶ καὶ Μεαζώθ· |
| 4 To Aimani were reckoned the sons of Aiman, Boukias, and Manthanias, and Azaraēl, and Soubaēl, and Jerimōth, and Ananias, and Anani, and Ēliatha, and Godollathi, and Rhōmemthi-ōd, and Jesbakasa, and Mallēthi, and Ōthēri, and Meazōth. | 4 To Aiman were reckoned the sons of Ainan, Boukias, and Matthanias, and Oziēl, and Soubaēl, and Jerimōth, and Ananias, and Anan, and Heliatha, and Godollathi, and Rhōmetthiezer, and Jesbasaka, and Mallithi, and Ōthēri, and Meazōth. |
5 All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman 14 sons and three daughters.
כָּל־אֵ֨לֶּה בָנִ֜ים לְהֵימָ֗ן חֹזֵ֥ה הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ בְּדִבְרֵ֥י הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לְהָרִ֣ים קָ֑רֶן וַיִּתֵּ֨ן הָאֱלֹהִ֜ים לְהֵימָ֗ן בָּנִ֛ים אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר וּבָנֹ֥ות שָׁלֹֽושׁ׃
| 5 πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ τῷ Αἱμὰν τῷ ἀνακρουομένῳ τῷ βασιλεῖ ἐν λόγοις θεοῦ ὑψῶσαι κέρας, καὶ ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τῷ Αἱμὰν υἱοὺς δέκα τέσσαρας καὶ θυγατέρας τρεῖς. | 5

כָּל־אֵ֣לֶּה עַל־יְדֵי֩ אֲבִיהֶ֨ם בַּשִּׁ֜יר בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֗ה בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ נְבָלִ֣ים וְכִנֹּרֹ֔ות לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים עַ֚ל יְדֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אָסָ֥ף וִידוּת֖וּן וְהֵימָֽן׃
| 6 πάντες οὗτοι μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν ὑμνῳδοῦντες ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐν νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κινύραις ἐχόμενα τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Ἀσὰφ καὶ Ἰδιθὼν καὶ Αἰμανί. | 6 πάντες οὗτοι μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν ὑμνῳδοῦντες ἐν οἴκῳ Θεοῦ, ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κινύραις εἰς τὴν δουλείαν οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἐχόμενα τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Ἀσάφ, καὶ Ἰδιθοὺν καὶ Αἰνάν. |

7 So the number of them, with their brothers that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was 288.
וַיְהִ֤י מִסְפָּרָם֙ עִם־אֲחֵיהֶ֔ם מְלֻמְּדֵי־שִׁ֖יר לַיהוָ֑ה כָּל־הַ֨מֵּבִ֔ין מָאתַ֖יִם שְׁמֹונִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹונָֽה׃

וַיַּפִּ֜ילוּ גֹּורָלֹ֣ות מִשְׁמֶ֗רֶת לְעֻמַּת֙ כַּקָּטֹ֣ן כַּגָּדֹ֔ול מֵבִ֖ין עִם־תַּלְמִֽיד׃
