The Ark Is Brought into the Temple
1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
וַתִּשְׁלַם֙ כָּל־הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֥ה שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה וַיָּבֵ֨א שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אֶת־קָדְשֵׁ֣י ׀ דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֗יו וְאֶת־הַכֶּ֤סֶף וְאֶת־הַזָּהָב֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־הַכֵּלִ֔ים נָתַ֕ן בְּאֹצְרֹ֖ות בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃

2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israēl, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israēl, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubs:

| 7 καὶ εἰσήνεγκαν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς εἰς τὸ δαβὶρ τοῦ οἴκου εἰς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων ὑποκάτω τῶν πτερύγων τῶν Χερουβίν, | 7 καὶ εἰσήνεγκαν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης Κυρίου εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς, εἰς τὸ δαβὶρ τοῦ οἴκου εἰς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων, ὑποκάτω τῶν πτερύγων τῶν Χερουβίμ. |

10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put in it at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israēl, when they came out of Egypt.

The Glory of God Fills the Temple
11 And it came to be, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and didn’t then wait by course:
וַיְהִ֕י בְּצֵ֥את הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים מִן־הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ כִּ֠י כָּל־הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים הַֽנִּמְצְאִים֙ הִתְקַדָּ֔שׁוּ אֵ֖ין לִשְׁמֹ֥ור לְמַחְלְקֹֽות׃
| 11 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐξελθεῖν τοὺς ἱερεῖς ἐκ τῶν ἁγίων ὅτι πάντες οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ εὑρεθέντες ἡγιάσθησαν, οὐκ ἦσαν διατεταγμένοι κατ’ ἐφημερία, | 11 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐξελθεῖν τοὺς ἱερεῖς ἐκ τῶν ἁγίων ὅτι πάντες οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ εὑρεθέντες ἡγιάσθησαν, οὐκ ἦσαν διατεταγμένοι κατ’ ἐφημερίαν, |

12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brothers, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them 100 and 20 priests sounding with trumpets:)
וְהַלְוִיִּ֣ם הַמְשֹׁרֲרִ֣ים לְכֻלָּ֡ם לְאָסָ֡ף לְהֵימָ֣ן לִֽ֠ידֻתוּן וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֨ם וְלַאֲחֵיהֶ֜ם מְלֻבָּשִׁ֣ים בּ֗וּץ בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ וּבִנְבָלִ֣ים וְכִנֹּרֹ֔ות עֹמְדִ֖ים מִזְרָ֣ח לַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וְעִמָּהֶ֤ם כֹּֽהֲנִים֙ לְמֵאָ֣ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֔ים בַּחֲצֹֽצְרֹֽות׃

13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
וַיְהִ֣י כְ֠אֶחָד וְלַמְשֹֽׁרֲרִ֜ים לְהַשְׁמִ֣יעַ קֹול־אֶחָ֗ד לְהַלֵּ֣ל וּלְהֹדֹות֮ לַיהוָה֒ וּכְהָרִ֣ים קֹ֠ול בַּחֲצֹצְרֹ֨ות וּבִמְצִלְתַּ֜יִם וּבִכְלֵ֣י הַשִּׁ֗יר וּבְהַלֵּ֤ל לַיהוָה֙ כִּ֣י טֹ֔וב כִּ֥י לְעֹולָ֖ם חַסְדֹּ֑ו וְהַבַּ֛יִת מָלֵ֥א עָנָ֖ן בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃
| 13 καὶ ἐγένετο μία φωνὴ ἐν τῷ σαλπίζειν καὶ ἐν τῷ ψαλτῳδεῖν καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀναφωνεῖν φωνῇ μιᾷ τοῦ ἐξομολογεῖσθαι καὶ αἰνεῖν τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ ὡς ὕψωσαν φωνὴν ἐν σάλπιγξιν καὶ ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐν ὀργάνοις τῶν ᾠδῶν καὶ ἔλεγον ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ, ὅτι ἀγαθόν, ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὁ οἶκος ἐνεπλήσθη νεφέλης δόξης κυρίου, | 13

καὶ ὁ οἶκος ἐνεπλήσθη νεφέλης δόξης Κυρίου, |

14 So that the priests couldn’t stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
וְלֹא־יָֽכְל֧וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים לַעֲמֹ֥וד לְשָׁרֵ֖ת מִפְּנֵ֣י הֶעָנָ֑ן כִּֽי־מָלֵ֥א כְבֹוד־יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
