Flood Subsides

1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters retreated;

1 And God remembered Nōe, and all the wild beasts, and all the cattle, and all the birds, and all the reptiles, all which were with him in the ark, and God brought a wind upon the earth, and the water ceased. 1 And God remembered Nōe, and all the wild beasts, and all the cattle, and all the birds, and all the creeping reptiles, all which were with him in the ark, and God brought a wind upon the earth, and the water ceased.

2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

2 And the fountains of the deep were covered over; and the flood-gates of the sky and the rain from the sky was held back. 2 And the fountains of the deep were covered over; and the flood-gates of the sky and the rain from the sky was held back.

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the 150 days the waters were abated.

4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the 17th day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

4 and the ark rested in the seventh month, on the 27th day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat. 4 and the ark rested in the seventh month, on the 27th day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.

5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

5 And the water continued to decrease until the tenth month. And in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the heads of the mountains were seen. 5 And the water decreased until the tenth month. And in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the heads of the mountains were seen.

6 And it came to pass at the end of 40 days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:

6 And it happened after 40 days Nōe opened the window of the ark which he had made. 6 And it happened after 40 days Nōe opened the window of the ark which he had made and sent out the raven to see if the water had abated.

7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

7 And he sent forth a raven to see if the water had abated; and it went out and didn’t return until the water was dried from off the land. 7 And going out didn’t returned until the water was dried from off the land.

8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;

9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

10 And he stayed yet another seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;

10 And after waiting yet seven other days, he again sent out the dove from the ark. 10 And after waiting yet seven other days, he again sent out the dove from the ark.

11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

11 And the dove returned to him in the evening, and had a leaf of olive, a twig in her mouth; and Nōe knew that the water had abated from off the land. 11 And the dove returned to him in the evening, and had a leaf of olive, a twig in her mouth; and Nōe knew that the water had abated from off the land.

12 And he stayed yet another seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.

13 And it came to pass in the 601st year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

13 And it happened in the 601st year in the life of Nōe, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water subsided from off the land, and Nōe opened the roof of the ark which he made, and he saw that the water had subsided from the surface of the land. 13 And it happened in the 601st year in the life of Nōe, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water subsided from off the land, and Nōe opened the roof of the ark which he made, and he saw that the water had subsided from the surface of the land.

14 And in the second month, on the 27th day of the month, was the earth dried.

14 And in the second month on the 27th day of the month, the land was dried. 14 And in the second month on the 27th day of the month, the land was dried .

15 And God spoke unto Noah, saying,

15 And the Lord God spoke to Nōe, saying, 15 And the Lord God spoke to Nōe, saying,

16 Go forth from the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.

17 Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.

18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:

19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatever creeps upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.

19 And all the wild beasts and all the cattle and every bird, and every creeping animal creeping upon the land according to their kind, came out of the ark. 19 And all the wild beasts and all the cattle and every bird, and every creeping animal creeping upon the land according to their kind, came out of the ark.

20 And Noah built an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.

21 And the Lord God smelled a fragrant smell, and the Lord God having pondered, said, “I will not again proceed to curse the land because of the works of men, because the mind of man is intently inclined upon the evil things from youth, therefore, I will not again proceed to smite all living flesh as I have done.” 21 And the Lord God smelled a fragrant smell, and the Lord God having pondered, said, “I will not again proceed to curse the land because of the works of men, because the mind of man is intently inclined upon the evil things from his youth, therefore, I will not again proceed to smite all living flesh as I have done.”

22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
