1 Praise you the LORD. Praise the LORD, Oh my soul.

הַֽלְלוּ־יָ֡הּ הַלְלִ֥י נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃

1 Αἴνει, ἡ ψυχή μου, τὸν κύριον. 1 Αἴνει, ἡ ψυχή μου, τὸν Κύριον·

2 While I live will I praise the LORD; I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

אֲהַלְלָ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה בְּחַיָּ֑י אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵֽאלֹהַ֣י בְּעֹודִֽי׃

2 αἰνέσω κύριον ἐν ζωῇ μου, ψαλῶ τῷ θεῷ μου, ἕως ὑπάρχω. 2 αἰνέσω Κύριον ἐν τῇ ζωῇ μου, ψαλῶ τῷ Θεῷ μου ἕως ὑπάρχω.

3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

אַל־תִּבְטְח֥וּ בִנְדִיבִ֑ים בְּבֶן־אָדָ֓ם ׀ שֶׁ֤אֵֽין לֹ֥ו תְשׁוּעָֽה׃

3 μὴ πεποίθατε ἐπ’ ἄρχοντας, καὶ ἐφ’ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων, οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν σωτηρίᾳ. 3 μὴ πεποίθατε ἐπ’ ἄρχοντας, ἐπὶ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων, οἷς οὐκ ἔστι σωτηρία.

4 His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

תֵּצֵ֣א ר֭וּחֹו יָשֻׁ֣ב לְאַדְמָתֹ֑ו בַּיֹּ֥ום הַ֝ה֗וּא אָבְד֥וּ עֶשְׁתֹּנֹתָֽיו׃

4 ἐξελεύσεται τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπιστρέψει εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ· ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἀπολοῦνται πάντες οἱ διαλογισμοὶ αὐτῶν. 4 ἐξελεύσεται τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ.
καὶ ἐπιστρέψει εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ· ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἀπολοῦνται πάντες οἱ διαλογισμοὶ αὐτοῦ.

5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God;

אַשְׁרֵ֗י שֶׁ֤אֵ֣ל יַעֲקֹ֣ב בְּעֶזְרֹ֑ו שִׂ֝בְרֹ֗ו עַל־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃

5 Μακάριος οὗ ὁ θεὸς Ἰακὼβ βοηθός, αὐτοῦ.

6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is; which keeps truth for ever;

עֹשֶׂ֤ה ׀ שָׁ֘מַ֤יִם וָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־הַיָּ֥ם וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֑ם הַשֹּׁמֵ֖ר אֱמֶ֣ת לְעֹולָֽם׃

6 τὸν ποιήσαντα τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν, τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς, τὸν φυλάσσοντα ἀλήθειαν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, 6 τὸν ποιήσαντα τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν, τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς· τὸν φυλάσσοντα ἀλήθειαν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα,

7 Which executes judgment for the oppressed; which gives food to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners;

עֹשֶׂ֤ה מִשְׁפָּ֨ט ׀ לָעֲשׁוּקִ֗ים נֹתֵ֣ן לֶ֭חֶם לָרְעֵבִ֑ים יְ֝הוָ֗ה מַתִּ֥יר אֲסוּרִֽים׃

7 ποιοῦντα κρίμα τοῖς ἀδικουμένοις, διδόντα τροφὴν τοῖς πεινῶσιν· κύριος λύει πεπεδημένους, 7 ποιοῦντα κρῖμα τοῖς ἀδικουμένοις, διδόντα τροφὴν τοῖς πεινῶσι.

יְהוָ֤ה ׀ פֹּ֘קֵ֤חַ עִוְרִ֗ים יְ֭הוָה זֹקֵ֣ף כְּפוּפִ֑ים יְ֝הוָ֗ה אֹהֵ֥ב צַדִּיקִֽים׃

8 κύριος σοφοῖ τυφλούς, Κύριος ἀνορθοῖ κατερραγμένους, κύριος ἀγαπᾷ δικαίους· 8 Κύριος σοφοῖ τυφλούς, Κύριος ἀνορθοῖ κατερραγμένους, Κύριος ἀγαπᾷ δικαίους,

9 The LORD preserves the strangers; he relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

יְהוָ֤ה ׀ שֹׁ֘מֵ֤ר אֶת־גֵּרִ֗ים יָתֹ֣ום וְאַלְמָנָ֣ה יְעֹודֵ֑ד וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים יְעַוֵּֽת׃

9 κύριος φυλάσσει τοὺς προσηλύτους, ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν ἀναλήμψεται, καὶ ὁδὸν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἀφανιεῖ. 9 Κύριος φυλάσσει τοὺς προσηλύτους· ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν ἀναλήψεται, καὶ ὁδὸν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἀφανιεῖ.

10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even your God, Oh Zion, unto all generations. Praise you the LORD.

יִמְלֹ֤ךְ יְהוָ֨ה ׀ לְעֹולָ֗ם אֱלֹהַ֣יִךְ צִ֭יֹּון לְדֹ֥ר וָדֹ֗ר הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃

10 βασιλεύσει κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, ὁ θεός σου, Σιών, εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεάν. 10 βασιλεύσει Κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, ὁ Θεός σου, Σιών, εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεάν.
