Job Annoyed with Advice from His Friends
1 And Job answered and said,
| 1 And Job answered and said, | 1 And Job answered and said, |
2 No doubt but you are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.

| 2 So then you alone are men, and wisdom shall die with you? | 2 So then you alone are men, and wisdom shall die with you? |
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yes, who doesn’t know such things as these?

| 3 But I also have a heart as well as you. | 3 But I also have a heart as well as you. |
4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calls upon God, and he answers him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

| 4 For a righteous and blameless man has become a subject for mockery. | 4 For a righteous and blameless man has become a subject for mockery. |
5 He who is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him who is at ease.

6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they who provoke God are secure; into whose hand God brings abundantly.
