1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
וַיְהִ֧י דְבַר־יְהוָ֛ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ שֵׁנִ֑ית וְהוּא֙ עֹודֶ֣נּוּ עָצ֔וּר בַּחֲצַ֥ר הַמַּטָּרָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃

כֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה עֹשָׂ֑הּ יְהוָ֗ה יֹוצֵ֥ר אֹותָ֛הּ לַהֲכִינָ֖הּ יְהוָ֥ה שְׁמֹֽו׃

קְרָ֥א אֵלַ֖י וְאֶעֱנֶ֑ךָּ וְאַגִּ֧ידָה לְּךָ֛ גְּדֹלֹ֥ות וּבְצֻרֹ֖ות לֹ֥א יְדַעְתָּֽם׃

4 For thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
כִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַל־בָּתֵּי֙ הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את וְעַל־בָּתֵּ֖י מַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה הַנְּתֻצִ֕ים אֶל־הַסֹּלְלֹ֖ות וְאֶל־הֶחָֽרֶב׃
| 4 ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ περὶ οἴκων τῆς πόλεως ταύτης καὶ περὶ οἴκων βασιλέως Ἰούδα τῶν καθῃρημένων εἰς χάρακας καὶ προμαχῶνας | 4 ὅτι οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ περὶ οἴκων τῆς πόλεως ταύτης καὶ περὶ οἴκων βασιλέως Ἰούδα τῶν καθῃρημένων εἰς χάρακας καὶ προμαχῶνας |

5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in my anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
בָּאִ֗ים לְהִלָּחֵם֙ אֶת־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וּלְמַלְאָם֙ אֶת־פִּגְרֵ֣י הָאָדָ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־הִכֵּ֥יתִי בְאַפִּ֖י וּבַחֲמָתִ֑י וַאֲשֶׁ֨ר הִסְתַּ֤רְתִּי פָנַי֙ מֵהָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את עַ֖ל כָּל־רָעָתָֽם׃
| 5 τοῦ μάχεσθαι πρὸς τοὺς Χαλδαίους καὶ πληρῶσαι αὐτὴν τῶν νεκρῶν τῶν ἀνθρώπων, οὓς ἐπάταξα ἐν ὀργῇ μου καὶ ἐν θυμῷ μου, καὶ ἀπέστρεψα τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ’ αὐτῶν περὶ πασῶν τῶν πονηριῶν αὐτῶν | 5 τοῦ μάχεσθαι πρὸς τοὺς Χαλδαίους καὶ πληρῶσαι αὐτὴν τῶν νεκρῶν τῶν ἀνθρώπων, οὓς ἐπάταξα ἐν ὀργῇ μου καὶ ἐν θυμῷ μου, καὶ ἀπέστρεψα τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἀπ’ αὐτῶν περὶ πασῶν τῶν πονηριῶν αὐτῶν· |

6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
הִנְנִ֧י מַעֲלֶה־לָּ֛הּ אֲרֻכָ֥ה וּמַרְפֵּ֖א וּרְפָאתִ֑ים וְגִלֵּיתִ֣י לָהֶ֔ם עֲתֶ֥רֶת שָׁלֹ֖ום וֶאֱמֶֽת׃
| 6 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀνάγω αὐτῇ συνούλωσιν καὶ ἴαμα καὶ φανερώσω αὐτοῖς εἰσακούειν καὶ ἰατρεύσω αὐτὴν καὶ ποιήσω αὐτοῖς εἰρήνην καὶ πίστιν· | 6 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀνάγω αὐτῇ συνούλωσιν καὶ ἴαμα καὶ φανερώσω αὐτοῖς εἰσακούειν καὶ ἰατρεύσω αὐτὴν καὶ ποιήσω αὐτοῖς εἰρήνην καὶ πίστιν. |

וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִי֙ אֶת־שְׁב֣וּת יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֵ֖ת שְׁב֣וּת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּבְנִתִ֖ים כְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָֽה׃

וְטִ֣הַרְתִּ֔ים מִכָּל־עֲוֹנָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָֽטְאוּ־לִ֑י וְסָלַחְתִּ֗י אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָֽטְאוּ־לִ֔י וַאֲשֶׁ֖ר פָּ֥שְׁעוּ בִֽי׃
| 8 καὶ καθαριῶ αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀδικιῶν αὐτῶν, ὧν ἡμάρτοσάν μοι, καὶ οὐ μὴ μνησθήσομαι ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν, ὧν ἥμαρτόν μοι καὶ ἀπέστησαν ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ. | 8 καὶ καθαριῶ αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀδικιῶν αὐτῶν, ὧν ἡμάρτοσάν μοι, καὶ οὐ μὴ μνησθήσομαι ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν, ὧν ἥμαρτόν μοι καὶ ἀπέστησαν ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ. |

וְהָ֣יְתָה לִּ֗י לְשֵׁ֤ם שָׂשֹׂון֙ לִתְהִלָּ֣ה וּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶת לְכֹ֖ל גֹּויֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִשְׁמְע֜וּ אֶת־כָּל־הַטֹּובָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר אָֽנֹכִי֙ עֹשֶׂ֣ה אֹתָ֔ם וּפָחֲד֣וּ וְרָֽגְז֗וּ עַ֤ל כָּל־הַטֹּובָה֙ וְעַ֣ל כָּל־הַשָּׁלֹ֔ום אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָֽנֹכִ֖י עֹ֥שֶׂה לָּֽהּ׃
| 9 καὶ ἔσται εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ εἰς αἴνεσιν καὶ εἰς μεγαλειότητα παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς, οἵτινες ἀκούσονται πάντα τὰ ἀγαθά, ἃ ἐγὼ ποιήσω, καὶ φοβηθήσονται καὶ πικρανθήσονται περὶ πάντων τῶν ἀγαθῶν καὶ περὶ πάσης τῆς εἰρήνης, ἧς ἐγὼ ποιήσω αὐτοῖς. | 9 καὶ ἔσται εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ αἴνεσιν καὶ εἰς μεγαλειότητα παντὶ τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς, οἵτινες ἀκούσονται πάντα τὰ ἀγαθά, ἃ ἐγὼ ποιήσω, καὶ φοβηθήσονται καὶ πικρανθήσονται περὶ πάντων τῶν ἀγαθῶν καὶ περὶ πάσης τῆς εἰρήνης, ἧς ἐγὼ ποιήσω αὐτοῖς. – |

10 Thus says the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which you say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה עֹוד֮ יִשָּׁמַ֣ע בַּמָּקֹום־הַזֶּה֒ אֲשֶׁר֙ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹֽמְרִ֔ים חָרֵ֣ב ה֔וּא מֵאֵ֥ין אָדָ֖ם וּמֵאֵ֣ין בְּהֵמָ֑ה בְּעָרֵ֤י יְהוּדָה֙ וּבְחֻצֹ֣ות יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם הַֽנְשַׁמֹּ֗ות מֵאֵ֥ין אָדָ֛ם וּמֵאֵ֥ין יֹושֵׁ֖ב וּמֵאֵ֥ין בְּהֵמָֽה׃
| 10 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἔτι ἀκουσθήσεται ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ, ᾧ ὑμεῖς λέγετε ἔρημός ἐστιν ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπων καὶ κτηνῶν, ἐν πόλεσιν Ἰούδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ἱερουσαλὴμ ταῖς ἠρημωμέναις παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτήνη | 10 Οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος· ἔτι ἀκουσθήσεται ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ, ᾧ ὑμεῖς λέγετε· ἔρημός ἐστιν ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπων καὶ κτηνῶν, ἐν πόλεσιν Ἰούδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ἱερουσαλήμ, ταῖς ἠρημωμέναις παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτήνη, |

11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who shall say, Praise the LORD of armies: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures forever: and of those who shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, says the LORD.
קֹ֣ול שָׂשֹׂ֞ון וְקֹ֣ול שִׂמְחָ֗ה קֹ֣ול חָתָן֮ וְקֹ֣ול כַּלָּה֒ קֹ֣ול אֹמְרִ֡ים הֹודוּ֩ אֶת־יְהוָ֨ה צְבָאֹ֜ות כִּֽי־טֹ֤וב יְהוָה֙ כִּֽי־לְעֹולָ֣ם חַסְדֹּ֔ו מְבִאִ֥ים תֹּודָ֖ה בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה כִּֽי־אָשִׁ֧יב אֶת־שְׁבוּת־הָאָ֛רֶץ כְּבָרִאשֹׁנָ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃

כֹּֽה־אָמַר֮ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאֹות֒ עֹ֞וד יִֽהְיֶ֣ה ׀ בַּמָּקֹ֣ום הַזֶּ֗ה הֶחָרֵ֛ב מֵֽאֵין־אָדָ֥ם וְעַד־בְּהֵמָ֖ה וּבְכָל־עָרָ֑יו נְוֵ֣ה רֹעִ֔ים מַרְבִּצִ֖ים צֹֽאן׃
| 12 οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος τῶν δυνάμεων ἔτι ἔσται ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ τῷ ἐρήμῳ παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος καὶ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτοῦ καταλύματα ποιμένων κοιταζόντων πρόβατα· | 12 οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος τῶν δυνάμεων· ἔτι ἔσται ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ τῷ ἐρήμῳ παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἄνθρωπον καὶ κτῆνος καὶ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτοῦ καταλύματα ποιμένων κοιταζόντων πρόβατα· |

בְּעָרֵ֨י הָהָ֜ר בְּעָרֵ֤י הַשְּׁפֵלָה֙ וּבְעָרֵ֣י הַנֶּ֔גֶב וּבְאֶ֧רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֛ן וּבִסְבִיבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם וּבְעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה עֹ֣ד תַּעֲבֹ֧רְנָה הַצֹּ֛אן עַל־יְדֵ֥י מֹונֶ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃

15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

22 As the objects of the sky cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
