16:1 Συνίστημι δὲ ὑμῖν Φοίβην τὴν ἀδελφὴν ἡμῶν, οὖσαν [καὶ] διάκονον τῆς ἐκκλησίας τῆς ἐν Κεγχρεαῖς, 1 Συνίστημι δὲ ὑμῖν Φοίβην τὴν ἀδελφὴν ἡμῶν, οὖσαν διάκονον τῆς ἐκκλησίας τῆς ἐν Κεγχρεαῖς·
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea; I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
16:2 ἵνα προσδέξησθε αὐτὴν ἐν κυρίῳ ἀξίως τῶν ἁγίων καὶ παραστῆτε αὐτῇ ἐν ἄν ὑμῶν χρῄζῃ πράγματι·
καὶ γὰρ αὐτῇ προστάτις πολλῶν ἐγενήθη καὶ ἐμοῦ αὐτοῦ.
2 ἵνα αὐτὴν προσδέξησθε ἐν κυρίῳ ἀξίως τῶν ἁγίων, καὶ παραστῆτε αὐτῇ ἐν ἄν ὑμῶν χρῄζῃ πράγματι·
καὶ γὰρ αὕτη προστάτις πολλῶν ἐγενήθη, καὶ αὐτοῦ ἐμοῦ.
that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a helper of many, and of myself as well. That you receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that you assist her in whatsoever business she has need of you: for she has been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
16:3 Ἀσπάσασθε Πρίσκαν καὶ Ἀκύλαν τοὺς συνεργούς μου ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ, 3  Ἀσπάσασθε Πρίσκιλλαν καὶ Ἀκύλαν τοὺς συνεργούς μου ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ·
Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
16:4 οἵτινες ὑπὲρ τῆς ψυχῆς μου τὸν ἑαυτῶν τράχηλον ὑπέθηκαν οἷς οὐκ ἐγὼ μόνος εὐχαριστῶ ἀλλὰ καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῶν ἐθνῶν, 4 οἵτινες ὑπὲρ τῆς ψυχῆς μου τὸν ἑαυτῶν τράχηλον ὑπέθηκαν, οἷς οὐκ ἐγὼ μόνος εὐχαριστῶ, ἀλλὰ καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῶν ἐθνῶν·
who for my life risked their own necks, to whom not only do I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles; Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
16:5 καὶ τὴν κατ᾿ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίαν.
Ἀσπάσασθε Ἐπαίνετον τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου, ὃς ἐστιν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς Ἀσίας εἰς Χριστόν.
5 καὶ τὴν κατ᾿ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίαν.
Ἀσπάσασθε Ἐπαίνετον τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου, ὃς ἐστιν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς Ἀχαΐας εἰς Χριστόν.
also greet the church that is in their house. Greet Epaenetus, my beloved, who is the first convert to Christ from Asia Minor. Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
16:6 Ἀσπάσασθε Μαρίαν, ἥτις πολλὰ ἐκοπίασεν εἰς ὑμᾶς. 6 Ἀσπάσασθε Μαριάμ, ἥτις πολλὰ ἐκοπίασεν εἰς ὑμᾶς.
Greet Mary, who has worked hard for you. Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.
16:7 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀνδρόνικον καὶ Ἰουνιᾶν τοὺς συγγενεῖς μου καὶ συναιχμαλώτους μου, οἵτινές εἰσιν ἐπίσημοι ἐν τοῖς ἀποστόλοις, οἳ καὶ πρὸ ἐμοῦ γέγοναν ἐν Χριστῷ. 7 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀνδρόνικον καὶ Ἰουνίαν τοὺς συγγενεῖς μου καὶ συναιχμαλώτους μου·
οἵτινές εἰσιν ἐπίσημοι ἐν τοῖς ἀποστόλοις, οἳ καὶ πρὸ ἐμοῦ γεγόνασιν ἐν Χριστῷ.
Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners, who are outstanding among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me. Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
16:8 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀμπλιᾶτον τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου ἐν κυρίῳ. 8 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀμπλίαν τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου ἐν κυρίῳ.
Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord. Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.
16:9 Ἀσπάσασθε Οὑρβανὸν τὸν συνεργὸν ἡμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ καὶ Στάχυν τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου. 9 Ἀσπάσασθε Οὑρβανὸν τὸν συνεργὸν ἡμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ, καὶ Στάχυν τὸν ἀγαπητόν μου.
Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and Stachys my beloved. Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
16:10 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀπελλῆν τὸν δόκιμον ἐν Χριστῷ.
Ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐκ τῶν Ἀριστοβούλου.
10 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀπελλῆν τὸν δόκιμον ἐν Χριστῷ.

Greet Apelles, the approved in Christ. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus. Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household.
16:11 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἡρῳδίωνα τὸν συγγενῆ μου.
Ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐκ τῶν Ναρκίσσου τοὺς ὄντας ἐν κυρίῳ.
11 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἡροδίωνα τὸν συγγενῆ μου.
Ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐκ τῶν Ναρκίσσου, τοὺς ὄντας ἐν κυρίῳ.
Greet Hērōdion, my kinsman. Greet those of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. Salute Hērōdion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.
16:12 Ἀσπάσασθε Τρύφαιναν καὶ Τρυφῶσαν τὰς κοπιώσας ἐν κυρίῳ.
Ἀσπάσασθε Περσίδα τὴν ἀγαπητήν, ἥτις πολλὰ ἐκοπίασεν ἐν κυρίῳ.
12 Ἀσπάσασθε Τρύφαιναν καὶ Τρυφῶσαν τὰς κοπιώσας ἐν κυρίῳ.
Ἀσπάσασθε Περσίδα τὴν ἀγαπητήν, ἥτις πολλὰ ἐκοπίασεν ἐν κυρίῳ.
Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, workers in the Lord. Greet Persis the beloved, who has worked hard in the Lord. Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
16:13 Ἀσπάσασθε Ῥοῦφον τὸν ἐκλεκτὸν ἐν κυρίῳ καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμοῦ. 13 Ἀσπάσασθε Ῥοῦφον τὸν ἐκλεκτὸν ἐν κυρίῳ, καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμοῦ.
Greet Rufus, a choice man in the Lord, also his mother and mine. Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.
16:14 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀσύγκριτον, Φλέγοντα, Ἑρμῆν, Πατροβᾶν, Ἑρμᾶν καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς ἀδελφούς, 14 Ἀσπάσασθε Ἀσύγκριτον, Φλέγοντα, Ἑρμᾶν, Πατρόβαν, Ἑρμῆν, καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς ἀδελφούς.
Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the brothers with them. Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brothers which are with them.
16:15 Ἀσπάσασθε Φιλόλογον καὶ Ἰουλίαν, Νηρέα καὶ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ὀλυμπᾶν καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς πάντας ἁγίους. 15 Ἀσπάσασθε Φιλόλογον καὶ Ἰουλίαν, Νηρέα καὶ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ὀλυμπᾶν, καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς πάντας ἁγίους.
Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them. Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.
16:16 Ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ.
ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι πᾶσαι τοῦ Χριστοῦ.
16 Ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ.
ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τοῦ Χριστοῦ.
Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you. Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.
16:17 Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, σκοπεῖν τοὺς τὰς διχοστασίας καὶ τὰ σκάνδαλα παρὰ τὴν διδαχὴν ἣν ὑμεῖς ἐμάθετε ποιοῦντας καὶ ἐκκλίνετε ἀπ᾿ αὐτῶν· 17 Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, σκοπεῖν τοὺς τὰς διχοστασίας καὶ τὰ σκάνδαλα, παρὰ τὴν διδαχὴν ἣν ὑμεῖς ἐμάθετε, ποιοῦντας καὶ ἐκκλίνετε ἀπ᾿ αὐτῶν·
Now I urge you, brothers, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. Now I beseech you, brothers, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them.
16:18 οἱ γὰρ τοιοῦτοι τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν Χριστῷ οὐ δουλεύουσιν ἀλλὰ τῇ ἑαυτῶν κοιλίᾳ, καὶ διὰ τῆς χρηστολογίας καὶ εὐλογίας ἐξαπατῶσιν τὰς καρδίας τῶν ἀκάκων. 18 οἱ γὰρ τοιοῦτοι τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ οὐ δουλεύουσιν, ἀλλὰ τῇ ἑαυτῶν κοιλίᾳ·
καὶ διὰ τῆς χρηστολογίας καὶ εὐλογίας ἐξαπατῶσι τὰς καρδίας τῶν ἀκάκων.
For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
16:19  γὰρ ὑμῶν ὑπακοὴ εἰς πάντας ἀφίκετο·
ἐφ᾿ ὑμῖν οὖν χαίρω, θέλω δὲ ὑμᾶς σοφοὺς εἶναι εἰς τὸ ἀγαθόν, ἀκεραίους δὲ εἰς τὸ κακόν.
19  γὰρ ὑμῶν ὑπακοὴ εἰς πάντας ἀφίκετο·
χαίρω οὖν τὸ ἐφ᾿ ὑμῖν·
θέλω δὲ ὑμᾶς σοφοὺς μὲν εἶναι εἰς τὸ ἀγαθόν, ἀκεραίους δὲ εἰς τὸ κακόν.
For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
16:20  δὲ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης συντρίψει τὸν σατανᾶν ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας ὑμῶν ἐν τάχει.
χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ μεθ᾿ ὑμῶν.
20  δὲ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης συντρίψει τὸν σατανᾶν ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας ὑμῶν ἐν τάχει.
χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μεθ᾿ ὑμῶν.
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amēn.
16:21  Ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Τιμόθεος συνεργός [μου] καὶ Λούκιος καὶ Ἰάσων καὶ Σωσίπατρος οἱ συγγενεῖς μου. 21 ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς Τιμόθεος συνεργός μου, καὶ Λούκιος καὶ Ἰάσων καὶ Σωσίπατρος οἱ συγγενεῖς μου.
Timothy my fellow worker greets you, and so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen. Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.
16:22 ἀσπάζομαι ὑμᾶς ἐγὼ Τέρτιος γράψας τὴν ἐπιστολὴν ἐν κυρίῳ. 22 ἀσπάζομαι ὑμᾶς.
ἐγὼ Τέρτιος γράψας τὴν ἐπιστολὴν ἐν κυρίῳ.
I, Tertius, who write this letter, greet you in the Lord. I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.
16:23  ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Γάϊος ξένος μου καὶ ὅλης τῆς ἐκκλησίας.
ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἔραστος οἰκονόμος τῆς πόλεως καὶ Κούαρτος ἀδελφός.
23 ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Γάϊος ξένος μου καὶ τῆς ἐκκλησίας ὅλης.
ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἔραστος οἰκονόμος τῆς πόλεως, καὶ Κούαρτος ἀδελφός.
Gaius, host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer greets you, and Quartus, the brother. Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

16:25 [Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ ὑμᾶς στηρίξαι κατὰ τὸ εὐαγγέλιόν μου καὶ τὸ κήρυγμα Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ κατὰ ἀποκάλυψιν μυστηρίου χρόνοις αἰωνίοις σεσιγημένου, 25 Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ ὑμᾶς στηρίξαι κατὰ τὸ εὐαγγέλιόν μου καὶ τὸ κήρυγμα Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, κατὰ ἀποκάλυψιν μυστηρίου χρόνοις αἰωνίοις σεσιγημένου,
Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
16:26 φανερωθέντος δὲ νῦν διά τε γραφῶν προφητικῶν κατ᾿ ἐπιταγὴν τοῦ αἰωνίου θεοῦ εἰς ὑπακοὴν πίστεως εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη γνωρισθέντος, 26 φανερωθέντος δὲ νῦν, διά τε γραφῶν προφητικῶν, κατ᾿ ἐπιταγὴν τοῦ αἰωνίου θεοῦ, εἰς ὑπακοὴν πίστεως εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη γνωρισθέντος,
but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
16:27  μόνῳ σοφῷ θεῷ, διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας, ἀμήν.] 27 μόνῳ σοφῷ θεῷ, διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας.
ἀμήν.
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amēn. To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amēn.
