1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

וְאֵ֤לֶּה הַגֹּויִם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִנִּ֣יחַ יְהוָ֔ה לְנַסֹּ֥ות בָּ֖ם אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֵ֚ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־יָדְע֔וּ אֵ֖ת כָּל־מִלְחֲמֹ֥ות כְּנָֽעַן׃

1 Καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ἔθνη ἀφῆκεν Ἰησοῦς ὥστε πειράσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν Ἰσραὴλ πάντας τοὺς μὴ ἐγνωκότας πάντας τοὺς πολέμους Χαναάν,	1 Καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ἔθνη ἃ ἀφῆκεν κύριος αὐτὰ ὥστε πειράσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν Ἰσραήλ, πάντας τοὺς μὴ ἐγνωκότας τοὺς πολέμους Χαναάν,
1 And Jēsous left these nations so as to test Israēl by means of them, all those who had no experience of all the wars of Chanaan,	1 And these are the nations, those that the Lord left so as to test Israēl by means of them, all those who had no experience of the wars of Chanaan,

2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before didn’t knowing of it;

רַ֗ק לְמַ֙עַן֙ דַּ֚עַת דֹּרֹ֣ות בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לְלַמְּדָ֖ם מִלְחָמָ֑ה רַ֥ק אֲשֶׁר־לְפָנִ֖ים לֹ֥א יְדָעֽוּם׃

2 πλὴν διὰ τὰς γενεὰς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ διδάξαι αὐτοὺς πόλεμον, πλὴν οἱ ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἔγνωσαν αὐτά·	2 πλὴν διὰ τὰς γενεὰς υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ διδάξαι αὐτοὺς πόλεμον, πλὴν οἱ ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν οὐκ ἔγνωσαν αὐτά·

3 Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites who dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.

חֲמֵ֣שֶׁת ׀ סַרְנֵ֣י פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים וְכָל־הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ וְהַצִּ֣ידֹנִ֔י וְהַ֣חִוִּ֔י יֹשֵׁ֖ב הַ֣ר הַלְּבָנֹ֑ון מֵהַר֙ בַּ֣עַל חֶרְמֹ֔ון עַ֖ד לְבֹ֥וא חֲמָֽת׃

3 τὰς πέντε σατραπείας τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ πάντα τὸν Χαναναῖον καὶ τὸν Σιδώνιον καὶ τὸν Εὐαῖον τὸν κατοικοῦντα τὸν Λίβανον ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους τοῦ Βαλαερμὼν ἕως Λοβωημάθ.	3 τὰς πέντε σατραπείας τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ πάντα τὸν Χαναναῖον καὶ τὸν Σιδώνιον καὶ τὸν Εὐαῖον τὸν κατοικοῦντα τὸν Λίβανον ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους τοῦ Ἀερμῶν ἕως Λαβωεμάθ.

4 And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would listen to the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

וַֽיִּהְי֕וּ לְנַסֹּ֥ות בָּ֖ם אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לָדַ֗עַת הֲיִשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־מִצְוֹ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה אֶת־אֲבֹותָ֖ם בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃

4 καὶ ἐγένετο ὥστε πειράσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν Ἰσραὴλ γνῶναι εἰ ἀκούσονται τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου, ἃς ἐνετείλατο τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ.	4 καὶ ἐγένετο ὥστε πειράσαι ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν Ἰσραήλ, γνῶναι εἰ ἀκούσονται τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου ἃς ἐνετείλατο τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ.

וּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל יָשְׁב֖וּ בְּקֶ֣רֶב הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑י הַחִתִּ֤י וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י וְהַחִוִּ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃

5 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ κατῴκησαν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ Χαναναίου καὶ τοῦ Χετταίου καὶ τοῦ Ἀμορραίου καὶ τοῦ Φερεζαίου καὶ τοῦ Εὐαίου καὶ τοῦ Ἰεβουσαίου	5 Καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ κατῴκησαν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ Χαναναίου καὶ τοῦ Χετταίου καὶ τοῦ Ἀμορραίου καὶ τοῦ Φερεζαίου καὶ τοῦ Εὐαίου καὶ τοῦ Ἰεβουσαίου·

וַיִּקְח֨וּ אֶת־בְּנֹותֵיהֶ֤ם לָהֶם֙ לְנָשִׁ֔ים וְאֶת־בְּנֹותֵיהֶ֖ם נָתְנ֣וּ לִבְנֵיהֶ֑ם וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃

6 καὶ ἔλαβον τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν ἑαυτοῖς εἰς γυναῖκας καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν ἔδωκαν τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν.	6 καὶ ἔλαβον τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν ἑαυτοῖς εἰς γυναῖκας, καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν ἔδωκαν τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν.

7 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgot the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.

וַיַּעֲשׂ֨וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל אֶת־הָרַע֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וַֽיִּשְׁכְּח֖וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם וַיַּעַבְד֥וּ אֶת־הַבְּעָלִ֖ים וְאֶת־הָאֲשֵׁרֹֽות׃

7 Καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τὸ πονηρὸν ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἐπελάθοντο κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν ταῖς Βααλὶμ καὶ τοῖς ἄλσεσιν.	7 Καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τὸ πονηρὸν ἐναντίον κυρίου, καὶ ἐπελάθοντο κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν τοῖς Βααλὶμ καὶ τοῖς ἄλσεσιν.

וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֤ף יְהוָה֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַֽיִּמְכְּרֵ֗ם בְּיַד֙ כּוּשַׁ֣ן רִשְׁעָתַ֔יִם מֶ֖לֶךְ אֲרַ֣ם נַהֲרָ֑יִם וַיַּעַבְד֧וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶת־כּוּשַׁ֥ן רִשְׁעָתַ֖יִם שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה שָׁנִֽים׃

8 καὶ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ κύριος ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἀπέδοτο αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας Χουσαρσαθὼμ βασιλέως Συρίας ποταμῶν, καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτῷ ὀκτὼ ἔτη.	8 καὶ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ κύριος ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἀπέδοτο αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ Χουσαρσαθαὶμ βασιλέως Συρίας. ποταμῶν καὶ ἐδούλευσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ τῷ Χουσαρσαθαὶμ ἔτη ὀκτώ.
8 And with wrath the Lord was angry against Israēl, and he gave them up into the hands of King Chousarsathōm of Syria of rivers, and they served him eight years.	8 And with wrath the Lord was angry against Israēl, and he gave them up in the hand of King Chousarsathaim of Syria of rivers, and the sons of Israēl served Chousarsathaim eight years.

9 And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.

וַיִּזְעֲק֤וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וַיָּ֨קֶם יְהוָ֥ה מֹושִׁ֛יעַ לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וַיֹּֽושִׁיעֵ֑ם אֵ֚ת עָתְנִיאֵ֣ל בֶּן־קְנַ֔ז אֲחִ֥י כָלֵ֖ב הַקָּטֹ֥ן מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

9 καὶ ἐκέκραξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ πρὸς κύριον· καὶ ἤγειρεν κύριος σωτῆρα τῷ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτούς, τὸν Γοθονιὴλ υἱὸν Κενὲζ ἀδελφὸν Χαλὲβ τὸν νεώτερον αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἰσήκουσεν αὐτοῦ.	9 καὶ ἐκέκραξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ πρὸς κύριον· καὶ ἤγειρεν κύριος σωτῆρα τῷ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτούς, τὸν Γοθονιὴλ υἱὸν Κενὲζ ἀδελφοῦ Χαλὲβ τὸν νεώτερον ὑπὲρ αὐτόν.

10 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.

וַתְּהִ֨י עָלָ֥יו רֽוּחַ־יְהוָה֮ וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֣ט אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וַיֵּצֵא֙ לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וַיִּתֵּ֤ן יְהוָה֙ בְּיָדֹ֔ו אֶת־כּוּשַׁ֥ן רִשְׁעָתַ֖יִם מֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֑ם וַתָּ֣עָז יָדֹ֔ו עַ֖ל כּוּשַׁ֥ן רִשְׁעָתָֽיִם׃

10 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπ’ αὐτὸν πνεῦμα κυρίου, καὶ ἔκρινεν τὸν Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἐπὶ τὸν πόλεμον· καὶ παρέδωκεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸν Χουσαρσαθὼμ βασιλέα Συρίας, καὶ ἐκραταιώθη ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν Χουσαρσαθλώμ.	10 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπ’ αὐτὸν πνεῦμα κυρίου, καὶ ἔκρινεν τὸν Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν εἰς πόλεμον πρὸς Χουσαρσαθαίμ· καὶ παρέδωκεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸν Χουσαρσαθαὶμ βασιλέα Συρίας ποταμῶν, καὶ ἐκραταιώθη ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν Χουσαρσαθαίμ.

וַתִּשְׁקֹ֥ט הָאָ֖רֶץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּ֖מָת עָתְנִיאֵ֥ל בֶּן־קְנַֽז׃

11 καὶ ἡσύχασεν ἡ γῆ ἔτη πεντήκοντα· καὶ ἀπέθανεν Γοθονιὴλ υἱὸς Κενέζ.	11 καὶ ἡσύχασεν ἡ γῆ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη· καὶ ἀπέθανεν Γοθονιὴλ υἱὸς Κενέζ.

12 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.

וַיֹּסִ֙פוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לַעֲשֹׂ֥ות הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיְחַזֵּ֨ק יְהוָ֜ה אֶת־עֶגְלֹ֤ון מֶֽלֶךְ־מֹואָב֙ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַ֛ל כִּֽי־עָשׂ֥וּ אֶת־הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

12 Καὶ προσέθεντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἔναντι κυρίου. καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν κύριος τὸν Ἐγλὼμ βασιλέα Μωὰβ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ διὰ τὸ πεποιηκέναι αὐτοὺς τὸ πονηρὸν ἔναντι κυρίου.	12 Καὶ προσέθεντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου· καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν κύριος τὸν Ἐγλὼμ βασιλέα Μωὰβ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραήλ, διὰ τὸ πεποιηκέναι αὐτοὺς τὸ πονηρὸν ἔναντι κυρίου.

13 And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalēk, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.

13 καὶ προσήγαγεν πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἀμμὼν καὶ Ἀμαλὴκ καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐκληρονόμησεν τὴν πόλιν τῶν φοινίκων.	13 καὶ συνήγαγεν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἀμμὼν καὶ Ἀμαλήκ, καὶ ἐπορεύθη καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐκληρονόμησεν τὴν πόλιν τῶν φοινίκων.

וַיִּזְעֲק֣וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ אֶל־יְהוָה֒ וַיָּקֶם֩ יְהוָ֨ה לָהֶ֜ם מֹושִׁ֗יעַ אֶת־אֵה֤וּד בֶּן־גֵּרָא֙ בֶּן־הַיְמִינִ֔י אִ֥ישׁ אִטֵּ֖ר יַד־יְמִינֹ֑ו וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל בְּיָדֹו֙ מִנְחָ֔ה לְעֶגְלֹ֖ון מֶ֥לֶךְ מֹואָֽב׃

15 καὶ ἐκέκραξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ πρὸς κύριον· καὶ ἤγειρεν αὐτοῖς κύριος σωτῆρα τὸν Ἀὼδ υἱὸν Γηρὰ υἱοῦ τοῦ Ἰεμενί, ἄνδρα ἀμφοτεροδέξιον καὶ ἀπέστειλαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ δῶρα ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τῷ Ἐγλὼμ βασιλεῖ Μωάβ.	15 καὶ ἐκέκραξαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ πρὸς κύριον· καὶ ἤγειρεν αὐτοῖς σωτῆρα τὸν Ἀὼδ υἱὸν Γηρὰ υἱὸν τοῦ Ἰεμενί, ἄνδρα ἀμφοτεροδέξιον. καὶ ἐξαπέστειλαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ δῶρα ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ τῷ Ἐγλὼμ βασιλεῖ Μωάβ.

16 But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his clothing upon his right thigh.

וַיַּעַשׂ֩ לֹ֨ו אֵה֜וּד חֶ֗רֶב וְלָ֛הּ שְׁנֵ֥י פֵיֹ֖ות גֹּ֣מֶד אָרְכָּ֑הּ וַיַּחְגֹּ֤ר אֹותָהּ֙ מִתַּ֣חַת לְמַדָּ֔יו עַ֖ל יֶ֥רֶךְ יְמִינֹֽו׃

19 καὶ Ἐγλὼμ ἀνέστρεψεν ἀπὸ τῶν γλυπτῶν μετὰ τῆς Γαλγάλ, καὶ εἶπεν Ἀὼδ Λόγος μοι κρύφιος πρὸς σέ, βασιλεῦ. καὶ εἶπεν Ἐγλὼμ πᾶσιν Ἐκ μέσου· καὶ ἐξῆλθον ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ πάντες οἱ παραστήκοντες αὐτῷ.	19 καὶ αὐτὸς ὑπέστρεψεν ἀπὸ τῶν γλυπτῶν τῶν μετὰ τῆς Γαλγάλ, καὶ εἶπεν Ἀὼδ Λόγος μοι κρύφιος πρὸς σέ, βασιλεῦ, καὶ εἶπεν Ἐγλὼμ πρὸς αὐτόν Σιώπα· καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν ἀφ’ ἑαυτοῦ πάντας τοὺς ἐφεστῶτας ἐπ’ αὐτόν.
19 And Eglōm turned back from the carvings with Galgal. 20 And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto you. And he arose out of his seat.

וְאֵה֣וּד ׀ בָּ֣א אֵלָ֗יו וְהֽוּא־יֹ֠שֵׁב בַּעֲלִיַּ֨ת הַמְּקֵרָ֤ה אֲשֶׁר־לֹו֙ לְבַדֹּ֔ו וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵה֔וּד דְּבַר־אֱלֹהִ֥ים לִ֖י אֵלֶ֑יךָ וַיָּ֖קָם מֵעַ֥ל הַכִּסֵּֽא׃

21 καὶ ἐγένετο ἅμα τοῦ ἀναστῆναι ἐξέτεινεν Ἀὼδ τὴν χεῖρα τὴν ἀριστερὰν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν μάχαιραν ἀπὸ τοῦ μηροῦ τοῦ δεξιοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐνέπηξεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν Ἐγλὼμ	21 καὶ ἐγένετο ἅμα τῷ ἀναστῆναι αὐτόν, καὶ ἐξέτεινεν Ἀὼδ τὴν χεῖρα τὴν ἀριστερὰν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν μάχαιραν ἐπάνωθεν τοῦ μηροῦ αὐτοῦ τοῦ δεξιοῦ καὶ ἐνέπηξεν αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ αὐτοῦ,

22 καὶ ἐπεισήνεγκεν καὶ γε τὴν λαβὴν ὀπίσω τῆς φλογός, καὶ ἀπέκλεισεν τὸ στέαρ κατὰ τῆς φλογός, ὅτι οὐκ ἐξέσπασεν τὴν μάχαιραν ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας αὐτοῦ.	22 καὶ ἐπεισήνεγκεν καὶ γε τὴν λαβὴν ὀπίσω τῆς φλογός· καὶ ἀπέκλεισεν τὸ στέαρ κατὰ τῆς φλογός, ὅτι οὐκ ἐξέσπασεν τὴν μάχαιραν ἐκ τῆς κοιλίας αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ἀὼδ τὴν προστάδα,

23 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ἀὼδ εἰς τὴν προστάδα καὶ ἀπέκλεισεν τὰς θύρας τοῦ ὑπερῴου ἐπ’ αὐτὸν καὶ ἐσφήνωσεν·	23 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν τοὺς διατεταγμένους, καὶ ἀπέκλεισεν τὰς θύρας τοῦ ὑπερῴου κατ’ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐσφήνωσεν.

24 καὶ αὐτὸς ἐξῆλθεν. καὶ οἱ παῖδες αὐτοῦ εἰσῆλθον καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ αἱ θύραι τοῦ ὑπερῴου ἀποκεκλεισμέναι, καὶ εἶπαν Μήποτε πρὸς δίφρους κάθηται ἐν τῇ ἀποχωρήσει τοῦ κοιτῶνος;	24 καὶ αὐτὸς ἐξῆλθεν· καὶ οἱ παῖδες αὐτοῦ εἰσῆλθον καὶ εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ αἱ θύραι τοῦ ὑπερῴου ἐσφηνωμέναι· καὶ εἶπαν Μήποτε ἀποκενοῖ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ ταμιείῳ τῷ θερινῷ;
24 And he went out, and his servants entered. And they looked, and see! the doors of the upper room were locked. And they said, “Perhaps he is sitting on the toilet seat in the retreat of his bedroom.”	24 And he went out, and his servants entered. 25 καὶ προσέμειναν αἰσχυνόμενοι, καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἀνοίγων τὰς θύρας τοῦ ὑπερῴου· καὶ ἔλαβον τὴν κλεῖδα καὶ ἤνοιξαν, καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ κύριος αὐτῶν πεπτωκὼς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τεθνηκώς.	25 καὶ ὑπέμειναν ἕως ᾐσχύνοντο, καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἀνοίγων τὰς θύρας τοῦ ὑπερῴου· καὶ ἔλαβον τὴν κλεῖδα καὶ ἤνοιξαν, καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ κύριος αὐτῶν πεπτωκὼς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τεθνηκώς.
25 And they waited, embarrassed. And look! There was no one to open the doors of the upper room, and they took the key and opened, and look! 26 καὶ Ἀὼδ διεσώθη, ἕως ἐθορυβοῦντο, καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ προσνοῶν αὐτῷ· καὶ αὐτὸς παρῆλθεν τὰ γλυπτὰ καὶ διεσώθη εἰς Σεϊρωθά.	26 καὶ Ἀὼδ διεσώθη ἕως ἐθορυβοῦντο, καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ προσνοῶν αὐτῷ· καὶ αὐτὸς παρῆλθεν τὰ γλυπτὰ καὶ διεσώθη εἰς Σετιρωθά.

27 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἦλθεν, καὶ ἐσάλπισεν κερατίνῃ ἐν ὄρει Ἐφραίμ· καὶ κατέβησαν σὺν αὐτῷ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ αὐτὸς ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν.	27 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡνίκα ἦλθεν Ἀὼδ εἰς γῆν Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐσάλπισεν ἐν κερατίνῃ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Ἐφραίμ· καὶ κατέβησαν σὺν αὐτῷ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους καὶ αὐτὸς ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν.

28 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς Καταβαίνετε ὀπίσω μου, ὅτι παρέδωκεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ἐχθροὺς ὑμῶν τὴν Μωὰβ ἐν χειρὶ ὑμῶν. καὶ κατέβησαν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ καὶ προκατελάβοντο τὰς διαβάσεις τοῦ Ἰορδάνου τῆς Μωὰβ καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκαν ἄνδρα διαβῆναι.	28 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς Κατάβητε ὀπίσω μου ὅτι παρέδωκεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ἐχθροὺς ἡμῶν, τὴν Μωάβ, ἐν χειρὶ ἡμῶν. καὶ κατέβησαν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ, καὶ προκατελάβοντο τὰς διαβάσεις τοῦ Ἰορδάνου τῆς Μωάβ, καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκεν ἄνδρα διαβῆναι.

29 καὶ ἐπάταξαν τὴν Μωὰβ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ὡσεὶ δέκα χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν, πάντας τοὺς μαχητὰς τοὺς ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ πάντα ἄνδρα δυνάμεως, καὶ οὐ διεσώθη ἀνήρ.	29 καὶ ἐπάταξαν τὴν Μωὰβ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὡσεὶ δέκα χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν, πᾶν λιπαρὸν καὶ πάντα ἄνδρα δυνάμεως, καὶ οὐ διεσώθη ἀνήρ.

30 So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.

30 καὶ ἐνετράπη Μωὰβ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὑπὸ τὴν χεῖρα Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἡσύχασεν ἡ γῆ ὀγδοήκοντα ἔτη, καὶ ἔκρινεν αὐτοὺς Ἀὼδ ἕως οὗ ἀπέθανεν.	30 καὶ ἐνετράπη Μωὰβ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὑπὸ χεῖρα Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἡσύχασεν ἡ γῆ ὀγδοήκοντα ἔτη· καὶ ἔκρινεν αὐτοὺς Ἀὼδ ἕως οὗ ἀπέθανεν.

31 Καὶ μετὰ τοῦτον ἀνέστη Σαμεγὰρ υἱὸς Ἀνὰθ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους εἰς ἑξακοσίους ἄνδρας ἐκτὸς μόσχων τῶν βοῶν· καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτὸς τὸν Ἰσραήλ.	31 Καὶ μετ’ αὐτὸν ἀνέστη Σαμεγὰρ υἱὸς Δινάχ, καὶ ἐπάταξεν τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους εἰς ἑξακοσίους ἄνδρας ἐν τῷ ἀροτρόποδι τῶν βοῶν, καὶ ἔσωσεν καὶ γε αὐτὸς τὸν Ἰσραήλ.
