שִׁגָּיֹ֗ון לְדָ֫וִ֥ד אֲשֶׁר־שָׁ֥ר לַיהוָ֑ה עַל־דִּבְרֵי־כ֝֗וּשׁ בֶּן־יְמִינִֽי׃

1 Oh Lord my God, in you do I put my trust: save me from all those who persecute me, and deliver me:
יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי בְּךָ֣ חָסִ֑יתִי הֹושִׁיעֵ֥נִי מִכָּל־רֹ֝דְפַ֗י וְהַצִּילֵֽנִי׃

2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
פֶּן־יִטְרֹ֣ף כְּאַרְיֵ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י פֹּ֝רֵ֗ק וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל׃

4 If I have rewarded evil unto him who was at peace with me; (yes, I have delivered him who without cause is my enemy:)
אִם־גָּ֭מַלְתִּי שֹֽׁולְמִ֥י רָ֑ע וָאֲחַלְּצָ֖ה צֹורְרִ֣י רֵיקָֽם׃

7 So shall the congregation of the people surround you about: for their sakes therefore return you on high.
וַעֲדַ֣ת לְ֭אֻמִּים תְּסֹובְבֶ֑ךָּ וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ לַמָּרֹ֥ום שֽׁוּבָה׃

8 The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, Oh LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me.
יְהוָה֮ יָדִ֪ין עַ֫מִּ֥ים שָׁפְטֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֑ה כְּצִדְקִ֖י וּכְתֻמִּ֣י עָלָֽי׃
| 8 κύριος κρινεῖ λαούς· κρῖνόν με κύριε κατὰ τὴν δικαιοσύνην μου, καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἀκακίαν μου ἐπ’ ἐμοί. | 8

9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God tries the hearts and insides.
יִגְמָר־נָ֬א רַ֨ע ׀ רְשָׁעִים֮ וּתְכֹונֵ֪ן צַ֫דִּ֥יק וּבֹחֵ֣ן לִ֭בֹּ֗ות וּכְלָיֹ֗ות אֱלֹהִ֥ים צַדִּֽיק׃

10 My defence is of God, who saves the upright in heart.
מָֽגִנִּ֥י עַל־אֱלֹהִ֑ים מֹ֝ושִׁ֗יעַ יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃

וְ֭לֹו הֵכִ֣ין כְּלֵי־מָ֑וֶת חִ֝צָּ֗יו לְֽדֹלְקִ֥ים יִפְעָֽל׃

14 Behold, he travails with iniquity, and has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
הִנֵּ֥ה יְחַבֶּל־אָ֑וֶן וְהָרָ֥ה עָ֝מָ֗ל וְיָ֣לַד שָֽׁקֶר׃

בֹּ֣ור כָּ֭רָֽה וַֽיַּחְפְּרֵ֑הוּ וַ֝יִּפֹּ֗ל בְּשַׁ֣חַת יִפְעָֽל׃
