Chapter 12

NASTextRec
Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members don’t have the same function, For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honour; Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and don’t curse. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Be of the same mind toward one another; don’t be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Don’t be wise in your own estimation. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.
“But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
